Academic news! I’m now — officially — Professor of Economic Geography at UCL.
Like most universities, UCL announces these in the summer; but in true academic style, new titles only go live today.
I’m delighted to get promoted. I also want to say that for me, academia is a team game. So rather than risk a Father Ted-style speech, I’d like to say thank you to my people: my family, co-authors, colleagues at UCL CASA, The Bartlett, UCL’s Faculty of the Built Environment and Centre for Economic Performance, and collaborators and community beyond. I’m hugely grateful.
